A Gypsy New Year’s Eve
A DONATION WILL BE MADE TO THE “ SAVE THE RICHMOND STREET FOREST FUND”, (a Carolinian forest near Brock University), FOR EACH GIFT CERTIFICATE PURCHASED.

The full moon will lend his beauty to our Gypsy New Year’s Eve Celebration. Snuggly and warm, we will travel through meadow and forest by the light of the Man in the Moon, listening to the sleigh bells jingling on the beautiful toffee coloured Belgian workhorses. John Colyn, the owner of this beautiful farm, will guide his horses as he regales us with his jokes and wonderful sense of humour. The children can take turns sitting by John and holding the reigns themselves, driving the team of horses, a memory they will never forget.
Back at the barn we will tumble into the toasty cabin for cookies, hot chocolate and home-made soup. Gentle Celtic music will float through the air. Next we make our way to the ground-floor haymow in the corner of the heated barn, and cuddle into the straw with our buffalo blankets. The lights dim, and out of the shadows glide our very special storyteller, Pauline Grondin, guided by her lantern which she will set down by the horse’s stalls. Tales will be woven and spun.
After the storytelling a trio of Gypsy music afficionados will fill the barn with strains of music to make your feet do what dancing feet are meant to do. Meet Beth Bartley of Vox Violins fame, (heard on CBC radio), as she joins her talented friends making eclectic romantic music in this very special time and place on Earth. An exotic buffet compliments of the Spice of Life will appeal to children and adults alike with Sue Churrey’s favourites, lovingly made just for us on this moonlighted enchanted New Year’s Eve.
Bring your grandma, your children and a special friend to gather in this country hamlet, for a safe and memorable country Gypsy New Year’s Celebration.
